Overview

StrainFree is a Mac display comfort app created by Lumany LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the app, visit the website, contact support, or purchase a license.

App data

The app may store local preferences on your Mac, such as comfort profiles, display tuning values, break reminder settings, saved profile names, onboarding choices, and app settings. This information is used to make the app work and is not intentionally uploaded by StrainFree.

Blink detection and camera use

Blink detection is optional. When enabled, StrainFree uses your Mac's camera permission to estimate blink rhythm and presence on-device. Camera frames are not saved by StrainFree and are not uploaded to Lumany LLC.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Paddle. Paddle may collect payment details, billing information, tax information, and transaction records as needed to process your purchase, provide receipts, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. StrainFree does not receive or store your full payment card number.

License delivery

After a completed purchase, StrainFree may use transaction details from Paddle, such as transaction ID, customer ID, and buyer email address, to generate and email your license key. Transactional license emails may be sent through an email provider such as Resend.

Support communications

If you contact support, we may receive your email address, message contents, app version, macOS version, purchase information, and any screenshots or logs you choose to send. We use this information to respond to you and improve the app.

Updates

StrainFree may check for updates. Update checks can reveal basic technical information such as app version, macOS version, and network metadata normally associated with a web request.

Website

The StrainFree website may receive standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, referring page, pages visited, and timestamps. The website does not currently use behavioral analytics or advertising trackers. If analytics are added later, this policy will be updated to describe them.

Email signup

If you join the launch waitlist or enter your email before downloading StrainFree, we collect your email address so we can confirm your signup, support your trial, send important product updates, and help match your purchase or license record if needed. These emails may be processed through an email provider such as Resend or GoHighLevel. You can contact us to be removed from non-transactional updates.

Your choices

You can disable optional blink detection, break reminders, and comfort controls in the app. You can also contact us to request help with purchase records, support records, or privacy questions.
